We are the controller within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Baller IQ works without registration. We do not ask for your e-mail address, and we do not build user profiles for our own purposes. To run the game we process a random device identity and your game results. In the mobile apps we show ads (Google AdMob) and offer an optional purchase (processed by the app stores and RevenueCat) — both only as described below and, where required, only with your consent.
When you play, our backend creates a random, anonymous account (no name, no e-mail) and stores your runs, answers, level progress and best score. Purpose: providing the game, preventing cheating and abuse (server-side scoring, rate limiting), and calculating aggregate question statistics. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the service you request) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (abuse prevention, service integrity). Hosting/backend: Supabase (project hosted in the EU, Frankfurt).
Our web hosting provider Vercel Inc. (USA) processes technical data required to deliver the site (IP address, browser/OS information, requested pages, timestamps) in server logs. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (secure and reliable delivery of the website). Transfers to the USA are safeguarded by an EU data processing agreement including EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
If you use "Share", we create a public share page containing the display name you enter yourself, your score and title. Anyone with the link can view it. Please only enter a name you are happy to share publicly. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. You can request deletion of a share page at any time (see Section 7).
In the iOS/Android apps we show ads via Google AdMob (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC). Before any ad is requested, a consent dialog (Google UMP) asks for your choices; on iOS, Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt applies in addition. Depending on your choice, ads are personalized or non-personalized; AdMob processes device identifiers (e.g. advertising ID), IP address and ad interaction data for ad delivery, frequency capping, fraud prevention and measurement. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent, revocable at any time in the app settings). Details: policies.google.com/privacy — the website version of Baller IQ shows no ads.
The optional one-time purchase is processed by Apple App Store or Google Play; we never see your payment details. To recognize your purchase across sessions we use RevenueCat, Inc. (USA), which processes a pseudonymous app user ID and purchase receipts/entitlements. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. RevenueCat safeguards transfers via EU Standard Contractual Clauses. No account registration, no e-mail collection, no newsletter, no sale of personal data, no third-party analytics/tracking on the website beyond the technical hosting described above, no ads on the website version.
Game data is kept while your anonymous account exists. Share pages remain available until you request deletion. Server logs at our hosting providers are retained for the short periods those providers define for security purposes. You may request deletion of your anonymous game data at any time (Section 7); note that without registration we can only link data to you via the device that played.
Processors: Supabase (EU hosting), Vercel (USA), Google AdMob (apps only), RevenueCat (apps only, USA), Apple/Google (purchase processing in the apps). Where data leaves the EU/EEA, we rely on adequacy decisions (EU-US Data Privacy Framework, where certified) and/or EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16),
erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection
(Art. 21), and the right to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future
(Art. 7(3)) — for ads, directly in the app settings ("Privacy / Consent"). You also
have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; competent for us:

Baller IQ funktioniert ohne Registrierung — keine E-Mail-Adresse, keine eigenen Nutzerprofile. Für den Spielbetrieb verarbeiten wir eine zufällige Geräte-Identität und Ihre Spielergebnisse. In den Mobile-Apps zeigen wir Werbung (Google AdMob) und bieten einen optionalen Kauf an (Abwicklung über die App Stores und RevenueCat) — beides nur wie unten beschrieben und, soweit erforderlich, nur mit Ihrer Einwilligung.

Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Drittlandtransfer abgesichert über Auftragsverarbeitungsvertrag mit EU-Standardvertragsklauseln bzw. EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Beim Teilen erstellen wir eine öffentliche Seite mit dem von Ihnen selbst eingegebenen Anzeigenamen, Ihrem Score und Titel — abrufbar für jeden mit dem Link. Bitte nur Namen eingeben, deren Veröffentlichung Sie wünschen. Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO. Löschung jederzeit auf Anfrage (Ziffer 7).
Vor der ersten Anzeige fragt ein Einwilligungsdialog (Google UMP, auf iOS zusätzlich App Tracking Transparency) Ihre Wahl ab. Spieldaten bestehen, solange das anonyme Konto besteht; Share-Seiten bis zu Ihrer Löschanfrage; Hoster-Logs für die kurzen, sicherheitsbedingten Fristen der Anbieter. Löschung der Spieldaten jederzeit auf Anfrage — mangels Registrierung können wir Daten nur über das spielende Gerät zuordnen.
Auftragsverarbeiter: Supabase (EU), Vercel (USA), Google AdMob (nur Apps), RevenueCat (nur Apps, USA), Apple/Google (Kaufabwicklung). Transfers außerhalb der EU sind über Angemessenheitsbeschlüsse (EU-US DPF, soweit zertifiziert) und/oder EU-Standardvertragsklauseln abgesichert.
